BJC | St. Louis Oasis and The J have teamed up to enrich the lives of older adults by offering programs that foster healthy activities and lifelong learning. To introduce an expanded partnership between the two, St. Louis Oasis and The J will host an open house from 11 a.m.-2 p.m., Jan. 18, at 16801 Baxter Road in Chesterfield. Participants will engage in class demonstrations, health screenings, entertainment and more. Light refreshments will be provided.
“We look forward to working closely with The J to bring Oasis programs to the Chesterfield campus,” says Paul Weiss, Oasis president. “The J’s Marilyn Fox campus focuses on engaging community and providing services that promote healthy living. This aligns well with the Oasis mission of lifelong learning, active lifestyles and volunteer engagement. Together, we will expand upon the rich offerings The J provides in West County, and provide older adults with exciting and enriching education, health promotion and social connection opportunities.”
Whether a retired baby boomer or someone simply interested in maintaining an active lifestyle, adults now have greater access to high quality programming on art, entertainment, health and wellness, history, technology, and more. Oasis and The J provide services that promote personal growth and social interaction. The partnership expansion increases the number programs now offered at the center.
“We offer first-class health and fitness programs at our J, and we’re excited that the partnership with St. Louis Oasis will expand the number and types of programs we can offer to the community,” says Lynn Wittels, president and CEO of the J. “We have served the Chesterfield community for more than 20 years and are thrilled to welcome new participants through this wonderful partnership.”
