Attend the BJC Shared Services Martin Luther King Jr. Day celebration Jan. 21

BJC Shared Services will celebrate the life and legacy of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. from 9-10:30 a.m., Jan. 21, at the BJC Learning Institute, in the lower level auditorium.

Doors open at 9 a.m. for a light breakfast. The program will start promptly at 9:30 a.m. Seating is limited. Register at by Jan. 16.

Event highlights and Winter Warm-Up Drive

  • Civic Arts Company will present a one-act theatrical adaptation of the bestseller “Race: How Blacks and Whites Think and Feel About the American Obsession.” Immediately following the performance, the theater company actors will lead a group discussion.
  • All team members are invited to participate in BJC’s commitment to continuing to make the organization an inclusive workplace by signing a special BJC Diversity & Inclusion banner that’s making its way across BJC in 2019. Listen to Rich Liekweg, BJC president and CEO, share more about the banner in a short video.
  • To help serve the community in memory of King, please consider bringing a donation for the Winter Warm-Up Drive. New hats, gloves, scarves and blankets will be accepted at the event entrance.
