BJC | All interested BJC team members are invited to join the BJC SPECTRA Connection Group for a "Re-Connections" Event Feb. 28, from 5-7 p.m., at the BJC Learning Institute in the lower level auditorium. SPECTRA represents “Support, Pride, Equality, Camaraderie, Trust, Respect and Alliance.” The group is inclusive of all LGBTQ+ team members and team members who want to show their support as allies.
The group will reconnect Feb. 28 to socialize and welcome a special guest speaker – Steph Perkins, Executive Director for PROMO. PROMO is Missouri's statewide advocate for LGBTQ equality. Perkins will lead a discussion on visibility as a part of the personal, spiritual, occupational and political/advocacy journey for the LGBTQ+ population.
One lucky attendee will receive two Cardinals tickets for the Monday, May 6 game against the Philadelphia Philles.
Please RSVP if you plan to attend. All BJC team members are invited. Download the event flyer to share with your teammates and help spread the word.
If you have questions, contact BJC SPECTRA Connection’s co-leads, Megan Gallagher, analyst, ITMS and liaison, Epic, BJC Institute for Learning and Development (BILD), and Steve Mapes, manager, health information management, Missouri Baptist Medical Center, at SPECTRA_Connections_Group@bjc.org.
Diversity and inclusion are a big part of BJC’s identity, and an important step to inclusiveness is connecting with and understanding one another. To learn more about BJC Connections Groups and how to get involved, visit https://www.bjc.org/Connections.
