BJC Women’s Connection kick-off event to feature guest speaker, professional clothing drive, live video

BJC | All interested BJC employees are invited to attend the kick-off event for one of the newest BJC Connection groups, Women’s Connection. Learn more about the group from 8:30-10 a.m., March 8, in the BJC Learning Institute lower level auditorium. The event takes place on International Women’s Day — a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women.

Doors open at 8:30 a.m. for breakfast and networking. The program starts at 9 a.m. RSVP if you plan to attend.

Event highlights

Guest speaker Pamela Meanes is a partner at the law firm Thompson Coburn LLP and an experienced civil litigator and national leader on issues of civil rights and equal justice under the law. Hear Meanes share lessons from her personal journey.

To help serve the community, the kick-off event will feature a professional clothing drive to benefit Dress for Success Midwest, a program of Connections to Success. Consider donating your interview-appropriate, nearly new or gently used professional clothing that’s current fashion. Items needed include:

  • Men’s and women’s suits and separates, such as slacks, blazers, dress shirts/blouses, skirts, sweaters and dresses
  • Accessories, such as shoes, handbags, jewelry, belts, ties and briefcases
  • Winter coats
  • Personal checks and gift cards will also be accepted. Download a flyer for more information.
