Week of Feb. 11, 2019

ReJournal real estate news posted a story Feb. 11 on IMPACT Strategies' work on the new Siteman Cancer Center facility at Memorial Hospital East. 

Washington University trauma surgeon at Barnes-Jewish Hospital Laurie Punch MD said in a story both run on  KWMU St. Louis Public Radio and posted on the St. Louis American site Feb. 10 that St. Louis's high rate of death from gun violence threatens the public health in the region. 

The Decatur (Illinois) Herald and Review reported Feb. 10 on an area infant who is thriving after receiving a heart transplant at St. Louis Children's Hospital when she was just seven weeks old. 

KTVI/KPLR-TV aired the story Feb. 11 of how ride-in toy cars donated by the parents of former patients who've died are taking the fear out of surgery for kids at SLCH. 

KMOV-TV and KSDK-TV ran stories on Feb. 10 about the reunion four woman who participated in the BJH matched paired living donor kidney transplant program. 

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported Feb. 10 on a group of patients with an inherited form of Alzheimer's disease who come to the Washington University Medical Campus for testing.
