BJC | The 2018 United Way-Jewish Federation Campaign takes place throughout October, and team members from across BJC have pledged $1.125 million toward the system-wide goal of $1.4 million (total as of Oct. 18). So far, 14.1 percent of team members have made a campaign pledge. That’s just over halfway to the 20 percent goal.

Be at the helm of helping people and win
Any gift amount can make a difference in making our communities and our world better. One BJC team member who pledges $1 or more per pay period (a minimum of $26 annually) via myBJCnet by Oct. 31 will be randomly selected to receive a $2,000 voucher for a Carnival Cruise Line vacation of their choice as a thank you from BJC.
If you selected to be a continuous giver in a previous BJC United Way-Jewish Federation Campaign, and you want your annual donation to remain the same, then you don’t need to take any action — and BJC thanks you for your continued support.
You can receive a receipt for tax purposes by logging in to myBJCnet and requesting a confirmation email for your records.

A history of excellence in medicine and community improvement
The Jewish Federation of St. Louis and BJC have a partnership that goes back decades. In 1878, the Hebrew Relief Society, the Federation’s predecessor, began working with members of the St. Louis community to form a more inclusive hospital. Their vision turned into The Jewish Hospital of St. Louis, which had its first patient in 1902. The hospital stood as a symbol of quality care and service to all patients, regardless of religion, nationality or medical condition.
Beginning in 1906, the Federation regularly allocated funds to support the Jewish Hospital. Decades later, in 1992, Barnes and Jewish hospitals affiliated and continued to grow and serve diverse populations in the St. Louis region. BJC team members carry on the traditions of the former Jewish Hospital and a connection to the Jewish Federation by participating in BJC’s annual United Way-Jewish Federation campaign.
If you work at a hospital or service organization in the Greater St. Louis area, you can contribute funds directly to the Federation by visiting myBJCnet, clicking the campaign banner and selecting to either:
