SLCH | They came. They carved. They conquered. Congratulations to the winners of the first “Pumpkin Wars: Chefs vs. Surgeons!” St. Louis Children’s Hospital surgeons showed they were a cut above their culinary competitors, Oct. 21, at a fall festival benefiting SLCH. The true winners were SLCH patients, who will benefit from hundreds of toy donations at the event.

This was so much fun to watch! The surgeons are already planning their pumpkin designs for next year, so LOOK OUT, chefs!

Very clever!! That should be an "across the board" event for BJC!!!
should be a BJC-wide event!! Winners from each hospital compete! Any and all could participate.

This was a great activity that I hope continues as an annual event.

It's so nice to see the "fun" side of our hospital. Sick kids and hospitalized kids isn't a very laughable topic, so it's wonderful to see our physicians and cooks participate in a light hearted event such as this! It's also great to have the cooks and surgeons, who are both essential to the success of our hospital, participate together!
